Samsung are at it again with the release of a new smartphone known as the Galaxy S. This Android phone runs Android 2.1 and is set to push smartphone technology to the max. With the release of the iPhone 4G, companies like Samsung have been working hard to make something this is better.
Samsung has made the Galaxy S and it looks like they got the design of it copied from the iPhone. The Samsung S looks strikingly similar to the iPhone and features a home kind of button beneath the screen. At first glance this phone looks like it has been made cheaply with its plastic case. The build of this phone doesn’t look at sturdy and you can take marks off this phone for that. Apart from this small little blemish, this phone sure does pack a huge punch.
Having a 1 GHz computer chip and 512 MB of RAM this Samsung Galaxy S has the computing power to rival a low end netbook. With the addition of 16GB of internal memory, this phone has enough space to put a few high quality movies on it and still have space for thousands of camera pictures.
The Samsung S directly competes with HTC EVO 4G and the iPhone 4G. The phone that rings this battle is hard to say and all three phones are fighting to be the most popular. The iPhone already has the fan base but those people sick of the iPhone can now choose a phone that costs less and works a lot better.
The video player built in is compatible with Xvid and DivX videos meaning that movies can be watched on the go and it also supports other formats. Audio formats such as MP3, AAC, WMA and even FLAC are supported. The 5 mega pixel camera isn’t great because of lack of flash, but this is a phone not a camera. This isn’t a huge deal because the media capabilities make up for the okay camera.
This phone has been tested and its performance is lightning fast. Web browsing is smooth and fast the going through menus is very smooth indeed.
In conclusion, it looks like Galaxy S is an outstanding Android phone and HTC EVO 4G is another such phone. iPhone 4G has the Apple iStore behind it but its phone has nothing on this.
